After visiting the Bridal Veil Falls, we drove back to Raglan and had some lunch. I've seen Raglan a few times, and as it was a holiday weekend, we didn't bother heading to the beach there - too many people! We continued our exploration down to Kawhia Harbour. There are two ways to get to Kawhia from Raglan, the one hour forty sealed road via Pirongia, or, the one hour trip via Aotea Harbour. We went via Aotea Harbour, and spent forty minutes of that hour on bumpy and windy gravel road. At least there were some nice views! Kawhia itself is a fairly small and quiet place, but once again a few people were around due to the holiday weekend. The scenes below are from near the main wharf, and from the highway heading home.
