Heading north from Florence, one of the prominent tourist attractions along the Oregon coast is the Sea Lion Caves. The cave itself is the largest in North America, and is home to many many sea lions. From the road there are scenic views in both directions along the coast. Once you've paid your entry fee, you can walk down the pathway to the elevator. This elevator goes underground from nearly road heigh, a couple of hundred feet down to the cave. At high tide sea lions frequent the cave, swimming around and climbing on the rocks.
