Driving south from Westport was cold and wet. Along the way we had a look at some historic gold mining ares, as well as a treetop walkway. It turns out that the treetop walkway is nearly $40 per person, so we gave that a miss! After a couple of hours driving through the rain, we arrived in Hokitika. The beach at Hokitka is neat, with driftwood artwork all around. It's also the first time I've seen a rabbit hopping along a beach!
